Period Clothing
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Although no uniforms from the 60th Regiment have survived, we do have a good description of the gear used by the troops during this period. The following list itemizes the clothing and gear, as well as the approximate weight of each item.
This list of items is taken from Lt. Alexander Baillie, a Grenadier officer in the 60th Regiment. The accompanying illustration by artist Joe Lee appears in the book "Redcoats, Yankees and Allies" by Brenton C. Kemmer and is used by permission. Mr. Kemmer's book is available from Heritage Books.
